Princedale Modern, based in London, is a boutique art advisory specialising in high-end secondary market private sales, focusing primarily on works by artists from the Post-War Modern and Contemporary periods.

Founded in 2022 by Edward Warburton, and now co-led with George King Princedale Modern leverages market data, artwork expertise as well as a proprietary international network of vetted collectors - both individual and institutional. With a sole focus on post-war and contemporary art, the advisory keeps its finger on the pulse of the current and ever evolving market to the benefit of its clients.

Both Ed and George bring over a decade of experience in the art world, having coincidentally started their careers at the same prestigious gallery. Edward later managed Clarendon’s Mayfair branch, while George transitioned to private advisory, spending years helping clients build outstanding collections. Most recently, both served as advisors within Artsy Private Sales, working closely with collectors to strategically acquire and place artworks on both the buying and selling sides. With their extensive global network and deep understanding of the art market, they have successfully sourced and placed significant works for clients worldwide, offering expert guidance tailored to individual needs.

Princedale Modern takes pride in its museum-quality inventory and is the destination for acquiring works by Warhol, Hockney, Haring, Lichtenstein, Chagall, and Picasso.

Reflecting on their philosophy, George remarked, "I live as a dealer largely by selling paintings to one generation with the view of buying them back from the next."

The partners attribute their strong client loyalty to their unvarnished honesty and seamless transactions. Edward highlighted what sets Princedale Modern apart from other contemporary art dealers, saying, "Unlike many of our peers, our primary challenge isn’t selling works of art but sourcing them—finding pieces in pristine condition with impeccable provenance to match."
